Financial Analyst

About the Role

Cengage is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Cengage Group Financial Data Analytics team, providing financial and operational support for Cengage Group. This role involves reporting and analysis for royalty expense and payments, ad hoc analysis, and supporting strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete investment analysis to execute business strategies.
• Allocate revenue for royalty payments.
• Analyze monthly royalty expense results for Senior Leadership.
• Produce guidance for setting Annual & Quarterly forecasts.
• Build ad-hoc analysis reports for distribution to partners.
• Ensure accuracy of monthly royalty payments.
• Support the product team by compiling financial information to guide and oversee the profitability of agreements.
• Develop relationships with the Product Organization and Finance Leadership.
• Participate in ad-hoc reporting, initiatives, and analysis.
• Investigate discrepancies and provide recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Data Analysis.
• MBA is a plus.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Compensation

• Base Pay Range: $58,300.00 - $75,750.00 USD
