About the Role

Roots Natural Kitchen is seeking a Grill Crewmember for their Liberty Ave location.

Key Responsibilities

• Cook all grilled items and rice.
• Operate the flat top grill.
• Ensure prepared items are ready for the team.
• Maintain a spotless and stocked station.
• Collaborate with front of house crew for an amazing customer experience.
• Loyally follow and successfully execute food safety practices.
• Follow instructions from the Leadership Team.
• Communicate any food issues or delays to a member of the Leadership Team.
• Maintain a clean work station area, including grill and grill equipment, tables, and shelves.
• Safely and efficiently use knives, tools, and equipment for preparation of grill and rice items.
• Use portion control and minimize waste to keep costs within projected range.
• Multi-task and maintain organization in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Open and close the grill station according to restaurant standards.
• Actively communicate with the Leadership Team, dish, and line crew members.
• Maintain a positive and cheerful attitude during all scheduled shifts.

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting Salary: $15.00/hr
• Tips (pooled among hourly employees, usually boosts base pay by more than $2/hr)
• Quarterly Profit-Share (can equal as much as 10% of quarterly employee pay for full-time employees)
