Full Stack Developer (Intern)

About the Role

• 20 hrs/week required
• Unpaid, 6-month internship program

The Web & App Developer Intern will support the design, development, and maintenance of web and mobile applications, internal platforms, and digital solutions that improve business efficiency. Working alongside the IT team and other departments, the intern will contribute to software development projects, system integrations, and technical improvements that support PROJXON's operations and client needs.

Required Weekly Meetings (PST)

• Monday @ 10:00 AM – Company Kickoff
• Monday @ 1:00 PM – IT Team Meeting
• Friday @ 10:00 AM – Company Retrospective

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of responsive websites, web applications, and mobile applications.
• Assist with front-end and back-end development using modern programming languages, frameworks, and development tools.
• Integrate APIs, databases, and third-party services to support application functionality and system connectivity.
• Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into functional technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, debug applications, and optimize performance, usability, and reliability.
• Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to technical documentation and project updates.
• Participate in development activities, code reviews, and testing to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and timelines.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of at least one relevant programming language or framework (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, React.js, React Native, Flutter, Swift, or Kotlin).
• Familiarity with web development fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and/or mobile application development.
• Basic understanding of APIs, databases (SQL or NoSQL), and software integration concepts.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git/GitHub and software development practices, including debugging and testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate effectively, and manage assigned tasks in a remote environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing web or mobile applications through academic projects, internships, or personal portfolios.
• Familiarity with modern web frameworks (React.js, Next.js, Vue.js) or mobile development technologies (React Native, Flutter, Swift, Kotlin).
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Vercel.
• Understanding of UI/UX principles and familiarity with design tools such as Figma.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Agile methodologies, and software deployment processes.
• Interest in AI-powered applications, automation, or integrating AI tools and APIs into software solutions.
• Experience with collaboration and project management tools such as ClickUp, Confluence, Discord, or Jira.
