Spring 2027 Associate Planner Intern

About the Role

Leonardo DRS Airborne and Intelligence Systems is seeking a motivated Associate Planner Intern to support their planning and materials team for Spring 2027. This is a part-time internship designed to work around the student's class schedule, offering hands-on experience in supply chain planning within a global defense and intelligence technology organization. The intern will gain practical exposure to production planning, material supply analysis, and cross-functional coordination between planning, project accounting, and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive consistent communications between planning, project accounting, and project management for consistent project material and depot repair unit support.
• Perform material supply analysis, monitor, and recommend schedule improvements.
• Consolidate demand for purchase requisitions.
• Create purchase requisitions based on the Master Production Schedule.
• Create reports for distribution to program office, customer visits, and management.
• Monitor production status and manufacturing order completion dates for recommendations or adjustments.
• Support floor part requests, cycle and physical inventory counts, KANBAN material, and shelf-life monitoring.
• Support, communicate, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the company.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a Junior or Senior in a 4-year bachelor’s program in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or currently in an MBA program, with at least a 3.0 GPA.
• Part-time schedule with flexibility to accommodate class hours.
• Must be flexible and willing to move between projects and tasks quickly and as needed.
• The ability to listen to others and to work well as part of a team.
• Knowledge of office procedures and good writing and verbal skills.
