Production Associate

About the Role

Avantor is seeking Production Operators for their facility in Sparks, Nevada. This entry-level position involves monitoring production processes, inspecting products, and performing various production and facility tasks. The role is hands-on and active, suitable for individuals who enjoy working with their hands.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the production process system to ensure proper operation.
• Inspect, check, and document process production activities.
• Perform container preparation, bulk and non-bulk filling, shipping, and receiving activities.
• Set up, operate, and clean production equipment.
• Inspect products and monitor machines during production.
• Package finished goods and maintain accurate records.
• Follow safety procedures and keep work area clean and organized.
• Report equipment issues, material defects, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Meet production goals for quality and efficiency.
• Assist with inventory counts and general site maintenance.
• Support other tasks as needed.
• Ensure safety, quality of workmanship, efficiency, and timeliness when performing assigned work.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic English skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to follow instructions and shift priorities quickly
• Reliable, punctual, and positive attitude
• Comfortable with basic computer tasks and simple math
• Team player with a strong focus on safety and quality
• High school diploma or GED is a plus
• OSHA Forklift and/or HAZMAT certification is a plus

Qualifications

• No experience necessary – training will be provided.
• Previous production or warehouse experience is a bonus.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Active, hands-on role in a busy production area.
• Exposed to noise, dust, non-hazardous chemicals, and moving machinery.
• Safety gear provided.
• Frequent standing, walking, and lifting (up to 25 lbs).
• Repetitive hand and foot movements.
• Good vision required for close-up and peripheral tasks.
