About the Role

PhonePe is a technology company that builds digital platforms for Payments, Digital Distribution Services, and Financial Services.

Key Responsibilities

• Be an integral part of the pod strategy and define critical metrics. Monitor performance trends and influence interventions based on performance.
• Collaborate closely with business and product functions to understand business problems and translate them into analytical problem statements.
• Own the entire insight generation phase, performing deep, thorough analysis to provide unbiased answers.
• Contribute individual thoughts on how to improve critical metrics, acting as a business owner.
• Act as the analytics and visualization SME for the team, ensuring dashboards are designed for easy data consumption.
• Mentor other analysts, play an active role in the hiring process, and onboard new team members.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• SQL: Ability to write complex queries to manipulate and consolidate multiple data sources for dashboarding and analysis.
• Excel: Strong working knowledge.
• Visualization Tools: Experience with PowerBI, Tableau, or QlikView.
• Data Analysis Languages: Understanding of R, Python.
• Statistical Concepts: Understanding of core statistical concepts.
• Communication: Ability to clearly explain thoughts and ideas verbally or in writing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of overall analytics experience.
• 1 year of experience in the lending domain.
• Strong problem-solving & analytical skills.
• Penchant for business and curiosity to understand product workings.
• Intuition for data and ability to handle big data sources.
• Experience in building ML models is good-to-have, but not mandatory.
• Candidates who can explain the story behind their analysis will find themselves at an advantage.
