Software Testing Trainee

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Software Testing Trainee eager to learn about software quality assurance, testing methodologies, and real-world software development processes. As a trainee, you will work on testing web applications, identifying bugs, documenting issues, and collaborating with the development team to improve software quality. This opportunity is suitable for candidates who want to gain practical exposure to software testing and build a strong foundation in Quality Assurance (QA).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing of web applications and software features.
• Understand project requirements and prepare test cases and test scenarios.
• Identify, document, and report bugs with clear reproduction steps.
• Perform functional, regression, usability, and exploratory testing.
• Verify bug fixes and ensure existing functionality continues to work correctly.
• Maintain test documentation and testing reports.
• Collaborate with developers to investigate and resolve reported issues.
• Test applications across different browsers, devices, and screen sizes.
• Participate in testing discussions and team meetings.
• Learn and apply software testing best practices.

Qualifications

• Candidates from Computer Science, Information Technology, or related backgrounds.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic understanding of software applications and web technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to document bugs clearly and systematically.
• Basic knowledge of software testing concepts is an advantage.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Postman, or browser developer tools is a plus, but not mandatory.
