About the Role
Mativ is seeking a Finance Intern to join our Corporate team for the Summer 2027 Internship Program. This role offers an immersive, real-world experience where you will support the business by preparing financial reports, analyses, and forecasts. Your work will inform business decisions and support Mativ’s future growth.
Internship Dates: May 17, 2027 - August 6, 2027
Location: Alpharetta, GA
Key Responsibilities
- Lead ongoing data cleanup to assist in financial reporting, accruals, and leadership team meetings.
- Extract large amounts of data and synthesize for easy understanding.
- Consistently identify opportunities for process improvement/streamlining.
- Provide analytical support and analysis for budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Design, prepare, and interpret forward-looking business/financial models and other special projects.
- Participate in regular monthly/quarterly financial cycles.
- Support ad hoc reports and projects as assigned.
- Support financial integration between legacy companies.
- Assist in month-end analysis.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Foundational understanding of financial principles.
- Experience creating spreadsheets and pivot tables.
- Experience with macros is a plus.
- Experience creating and editing presentations in PowerPoint.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Strong attention to detail.
- High level of discretion when dealing with sensitive information.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, perform in a fast-paced environment, and respond quickly to situational needs.
- High initiative and drive, with a curiosity to learn and improve the business.
- Ability to analyze information to find opportunities.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
