About the Role
As a Store Operations Associate at CubeSmart, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining stores within your district, with a focus on both customer service and property maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service
- Develop customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing appropriate solutions, delivering a standout customer experience.
- Interact face-to-face with customers, providing excellent service and building rapport.
- Meet monthly sales goals and metrics.
- Perform daily operational tasks including lock checks and showing units to customers.
- Work independently and on a team to rent self-storage units, sell store merchandise, manage the leasing process, accept payments using the Point-of-Sale System (POS), complete daily bank deposits, and make courtesy calls to customers regarding late payments.
- Property Maintenance
- Perform daily walks of the property, clean units and store grounds, and open/close storage doors (up to 50 lbs.).
- Maintain the facility by mopping, sweeping, changing light bulbs, cleaning out storage units, and similar activities.
- Keep the storage facility clean and safe, ensuring conditions meet company guidelines (e.g., clean restrooms, neat landscaping and parking areas, clean storage doors, and neat/decluttered office space).
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Skills in customer service and property maintenance.
- Experience with Point-of-Sale System (POS).
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office products.

- A positive and outgoing personality with a passion for helping people.
- Experience in delivering high-quality customer service to a diverse customer market.
- A self-driven mindset with a strong operational focus.
- Ability to work Saturdays.
- Access to a personal vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and up-to-date insurance are required.
- Physical requirements include the ability to stand, sit, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, climb, or balance on a ladder.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Some locations may require Sunday hours.
- Hourly rate: $19.00-$21.00, based on experience.
