About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for a CAD Mould Designer and CNC Programmer.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing injection moulds using CAD software.
- Interpreting technical and construction drawings.
- Preparing detailed 3D models and 2D layouts for mould manufacturing.
- Programming CNC machines for mould components.
- Optimizing machining parameters.
- Coordinating with the production team to ensure precision, consistency, and efficient cycle times.
- Reviewing customer product requirements.
- Collaborating with engineering and shop-floor teams.
- Performing design modifications.
- Supporting mould trials and troubleshooting.
- Maintaining documentation.
- Adhering to quality and safety standards.
- Contributing to continuous improvement in tooling and manufacturing processes.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for 2D and 3D mould design and model detailing.
- CNC programming experience (e.g., for milling and EDM).
- Knowledge of injection moulding processes, materials, tolerances, and manufacturing best practices.
Qualifications
- Ability to interpret and create Technical Drawing and Drawing for mould components and assemblies.
- Experience with Construction Drawings related to tooling, machining, and assembly layouts.
- Background in Design Engineering, particularly in plastic injection moulds and precision tooling.
- Hands-on experience in tooling selection and machining optimization.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Engineering, or a similar field.
- Prior experience in mould design/manufacturing is highly beneficial.
