About the Role

We are building an original animated series rooted in Indian culture and history, made for children and families. This role sits at the intersection of AI filmmaking, cinematic storytelling, and generative production — you are not just using AI tools, you are learning to direct them. This is a hands-on role in a real production environment. You will work with agentic and generative AI systems, understand how large language models and video generation models respond to creative direction, and build a repeatable production pipeline from prompt to finished episode.

Who Should Apply

This role is designed for someone who is ready to commit fully. You should apply if:

  • You are available full-time — 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, with no competing commitments.
  • You have a reliable laptop and a stable internet connection.
  • You are an animation, film, media, or design student in your final year or recently graduated — or a self-taught AI filmmaker with a strong portfolio of actual work.
  • You want to be part of a real production from the ground up.
  • You are based in India and can work in IST hours.
  • You are serious about AI filmmaking as a craft — you think about story, emotion, and camera.
  • You want a full-time career in AI-assisted animation and content production.

You should not apply if:

  • You have ongoing college classes that will limit your availability to evenings or weekends only.
  • You are looking for a part-time or flexible-hours arrangement.
  • You are currently running your own animation project or studio and are looking for a side commitment.
  • You expect to learn everything in orientation and then work independently without iteration.
  • You are not comfortable working in a remote-first, async communication environment.

What You Will Learn

  • How to direct generative AI video models using cinematic language — shot types, camera movement, emotional direction, and compositional principles.
  • How agentic AI workflows operate — chaining prompts, iterating outputs, building consistency across a multi-episode production.
  • How large language models (Claude, Gemini) are used as creative co-directors — prompt engineering, story development, and production problem-solving.
  • How to generate and direct AI voice, music, and sound design using ElevenLabs and Lyria 3 Pro.
  • How to assemble, colour grade, and mix a complete episode in DaVinci Resolve to broadcast standards.
  • How a professional animation production pipeline runs end to end — from script breakdown to final export.

Key Responsibilities

AI Video Generation

  • Generate character frames using Nano Banana 2 (Google Flow) — maintaining visual consistency across all clips using agentic reference workflows.
  • Generate video clips using Omni in Google Flow — applying cinematic shot types, camera movement, and emotional direction through precise prompt engineering.
  • Develop, refine, and document prompts aligned with production scripts and visual style.
  • Break down scripts into shot lists and frame requirements before generation.
  • Maintain asset naming conventions and session logs after every session.

Voice & Audio Production

  • Generate character dialogue and voices using ElevenLabs and Voicebox.
  • Generate ambient sound, environmental audio, and Foley using ElevenLabs SFX.
  • Direct AI music scoring using Lyria 3 Pro — generating period-appropriate background score aligned with scene-level emotional cues.

Episode Assembly & Editing

  • Assemble AI-generated clips into complete episodes in DaVinci Resolve.
  • Sync ElevenLabs dialogue to AI video clips.
  • Layer music, ambience, and SFX across the episode timeline.
  • Colour grade for visual consistency across clips generated on different days.
  • Apply Fairlight loudness standards for YouTube delivery.
  • Export final episode at production specifications.

Quality & Collaboration

  • Submit clips for QC review and act on feedback promptly.
  • Coordinate with Track B (3D Animation) for seamless 3D insert integration.
  • Submit daily async standup note before noon.
  • Complete one assigned production beat per working day as the baseline deliverable.

Requirements & Tech Stack

  • Hands-on experience with AI video or image generation tools — Google Flow, Kling, Runway, or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of video editing — DaVinci Resolve preferred, Premiere or Filmora acceptable.
  • Understanding of or genuine curiosity about how generative AI models work.
  • Strong prompting instinct — ability to translate emotion and story into precise AI direction.
  • Proactive communication — flag blockers early, never go silent on a deadline.
  • Film, animation, or media production background preferred.

Good to Have

  • Experience with ElevenLabs, Suno, or similar voice and music generation tools.
  • Prior work on a short film, AI film, or narrative video production.
  • Understanding of cinematic language — shot types, camera movement, pacing.
  • Familiarity with agentic AI workflows or prompt chaining.
  • South Indian cultural background or familiarity with Indian history and classical arts.

What You Will Build

An animated kids series — original storytelling rooted in Indian culture and history. Real episodes, real characters, real production standards. Your name in the credits. Your work seen by families across India and across the globe.

What Makes This Role Different

Most AI tool roles teach you how to use a product. This role teaches you how generative and agentic AI systems think — and how to direct them creatively. You will leave with a production credit, a deep understanding of the AI filmmaking pipeline, and skills that are genuinely rare in the market.

Full-Time Conversion

This internship is designed as a direct pipeline into a full-time role. At the end of the 6-month internship, strong performers will be offered a full-time position at Bharatha Vaibhavam. The conversion decision is based on four things:

  • Technical growth.
  • Delivery — consistently hitting your production beat on time.
  • Self-sufficiency — solving problems before escalating and flagging blockers before they become delays.
  • Initiative — bringing ideas, asking good questions, and taking ownership of your work.

If you perform, the full-time offer follows. If you join full-time and the production grows — your compensation grows with it.
