About the Role
A Merchant Exporter role at Arovia Import Export is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune Division. The role focuses on identifying and sourcing products, negotiating terms, coordinating logistics, managing export documentation, and communicating with international clients and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Identifying and sourcing products from partner farmers.
- Negotiating purchase and sales terms.
- Coordinating with logistics providers for timely shipment and delivery.
- Managing export documentation and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Communicating with international clients and vendors.
- Conducting market research and price analysis.
- Tracking orders and coordinating inventory.
- Reporting sales performance and pipeline to management.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- MS Office and basic business software proficiency.
- Familiarity with ERP or export management systems is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Skills in sourcing, vendor management, and relationship-building with farmers and suppliers.
- Experience in export operations, including documentation, customs procedures, and regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of international trade, Incoterms, pricing strategies, and basic contract terms.
- Competence in logistics coordination, shipment planning, and inventory tracking.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and pricing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, International Trade, or a related field.
- Relevant export or trade certifications are a plus.
- Previous experience in agricultural commodities or FMCG export is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work on-site in the Pune Division.
