Financial Analyst Intern, India

About the Role

Skillzenloop is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst Intern to support financial data analysis, budgeting, reporting, and business performance evaluation. The selected candidate will assist in organising financial information, preparing reports, analysing expenses, and identifying trends while gaining practical exposure to financial analysis and business reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, organise, and analyse financial data from relevant sources.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, summaries, and analytical presentations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and expense-tracking activities.
• Use Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets to organise and analyse financial information.
• Assist in comparing actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Analyse revenue, expenses, and other financial indicators to identify trends.
• Prepare spreadsheets, charts, and tables to communicate financial findings.
• Assist in reviewing financial records for accuracy and consistency.
• Support basic financial modelling and scenario analysis under guidance.
• Conduct research on industries, markets, and relevant financial trends.
• Maintain organised financial documentation and reporting records.
• Collaborate with team members to understand business requirements and reporting objectives.
• Handle financial information responsibly and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Knowledge of spreadsheet formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis is preferred.
• Familiarity with financial modelling or data visualisation is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Power BI or other reporting tools is beneficial.
• Access to a computer and a reliable internet connection.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of accounting and financial concepts.
• Basic understanding of budgeting, financial statements, and expense management.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to organise information and meet reporting deadlines.
• Willingness to learn financial analysis techniques and business reporting practices.
• Candidates pursuing or holding a degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Candidates with academic finance projects, budgeting assignments, or Excel-based analytical work are encouraged to apply.

• Stipend: ₹15,000–₹16,000 per month
