Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer role based in Bengaluru. The role involves designing, analyzing, and optimizing electrical systems that support Voltanova’s thermal energy storage and energy management technologies, including power distribution and integration with industrial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing electrical schematics and layouts.
• Performing load and safety calculations.
• Selecting appropriate components.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams (mechanical, controls, software, and operations) to implement robust, efficient, and safe power systems for pilot projects and commercial deployments.
• Participating in testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electrical and power systems in real-world industrial environments.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Electrical Design for industrial systems and components.
• Power Systems analysis and Power Distribution for industrial or energy applications.
• Proficiency in electrical design and simulation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar software).
• Familiarity with electrical safety standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Interest in clean energy, sustainability, and working in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Electrical Engineering and a solid understanding of Electricity fundamentals.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree (e.g., Electrical Engineering or related field); advanced degrees are an advantage.
• Experience with industrial or energy-sector projects, preferably in power, renewables, or thermal systems.
