About the Role
Spend 10 weeks exploring the retail industry as an H-E-B Manufacturing Intern. Program dates: May 24th – July 30th. Days and hours will vary based on an operations schedule, to include nights and/or weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Focus on process improvement activities that eliminate known losses in manufacturing operations.
- Support Plant teams in achieving self-manufactured products.
- Develop and train others.
- Foster commitment to obtain superior service levels.
Program Highlights
- Oversee a project and create a solution for a current business challenge.
- Receive ongoing coaching, mentoring, and development.
- Network with Senior Leaders and Partners across all divisions.
- Serve Texans through community outreach opportunities.
- Go behind-the-scenes to learn about supply chain, logistics, and retail operations.
- Collaborate and network with interns from universities across the nation.
Program Expectations
- Must have reliable transportation; placement may be up to 45 miles from home address.
- Must be available for the entire 10 weeks.
- Commitment to full-time, in-person work for the duration of the internship.
- Ability to work a varying work schedule.
Physical and Other Requirements
- Function in a fast-paced, manufacturing plant and office environment.
- Lift 20 lbs. or more on an occasional basis.
- Work rotating schedules.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an associates, bachelor’s, or master’s degree program.

- Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
