About the Role

The Strategy and Insights team is a crucial, impactful, and visible function within Commercial Operations at Medpace. The team is responsible for developing and managing new business pipeline reporting, award forecast reporting, sales commissions, medical expert goal tracking, and board reporting shared externally. The team also works directly with executive leadership on analyzing data and formulating insights based on strategic initiatives, leveraging strong financial and business acumen, modeling, and analytical skillsets.

This internship offers three openings within the S&I department, supporting forecasting, data analytics, and credit and risk functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Forecasting Intern:
• Support the ongoing forecasting process by engaging team members across Commercial Operations, Finance, and Clinical Operations to ensure up-to-date and accurate new award and backlog forecast.
• Data Analytics Intern:
• Support the S&I team on developing and driving ad hoc and highly analytical requests from executive leadership.
• Credit & Risk Intern:
• Review credit information related to credit limits and credit holds for existing customers while balancing business risk.
• Analyze portfolio level information to identify and monitor key risk factors and develop proposed solutions.
• Report and analyze characteristics of customer credit in relation to policies, guidelines, and processes.

• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Understanding of reporting and business intelligence best practices.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask efficiently while completing high-quality work.

Qualifications

• Rising Junior or Senior currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or related degree.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work office-based in Cincinnati, OH during the summer of 2027.
• Ability to stay on for additional semesters based on team need and performance.
