About the Role
The Owner at BasmaTech Incubator will lead the overall vision, strategy, and operations of the incubator, ensuring alignment with its mission of empowering entrepreneurs with disabilities. This full-time, on-site role in Bengaluru involves overseeing program design and delivery, managing stakeholder relationships, and guiding the development of support services for incubated startups.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee program design and delivery.
- Manage stakeholder relationships.
- Guide the development of support services for incubated startups.
- Supervise core teams.
- Monitor performance.
- Make data-informed decisions about resource allocation, partnerships, and growth initiatives.
- Represent the incubator in public forums.
- Engage with community and ecosystem partners.
- Foster a culture of inclusion, accountability, and innovation.
- Maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
- Manage budgets.
- Continuously improve incubator processes to enhance outcomes for participating founders.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Demonstrated experience in leading or building startups, incubators, accelerators, or entrepreneurial programs.
- Strong understanding of innovation ecosystems.
- Proficiency in strategic planning, organization development, and operational management, including budgeting and performance tracking.
- Experience in stakeholder management, including working with investors, corporate partners, community organizations, and public-sector entities.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and disability advocacy.
- Familiarity with best practices for creating equitable, barrier-free environments.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and make sound, data-driven decisions in dynamic and evolving contexts.
- Prior experience working in or with African or MENA startup ecosystems, or with global virtual programs, is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Management, Social Entrepreneurship, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience is valued.
