Software QA Engineer

About the Role

Help ensure QBYSS’s internal software and digital systems work reliably. You’ll test functionality, investigate issues and give developers clear information to improve the user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Turn requirements into test cases covering common and unusual scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression and usability testing of web applications.
• Record reproducible bug reports with evidence and expected behaviour.
• Check fixes and communicate outstanding issues before releases.
• Maintain test documentation and identify opportunities for automation.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Understanding of software testing concepts and web applications.
• Ability to write clear test cases and bug reports.
• Relevant coursework, testing projects or practical experience.

Useful but not essential

• API testing with Postman or similar tools.
• Basic programming or experience with Playwright, Cypress or Selenium.
