Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and conditions.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable statutory requirements.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training for employees and contractors.
• Identify workplace hazards and conduct risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Monitor high-risk activities, including work at height, hot work, confined space entry, and lifting operations.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
• Inspect fire extinguishers, emergency exits, first-aid facilities, and emergency equipment.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, permits, and incident documentation.
• Ensure contractors and workers follow safe work procedures.
• Coordinate emergency drills and implement emergency response procedures.
• Report safety violations and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
