Machine Learning Engineer

About the Role

VaniAgent.com is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer Intern to support the design, development, and optimization of models powering its AI voice agents. This is a remote internship role focused on applied machine learning and voice AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Experiment with machine learning and deep learning architectures for NLP, ASR, and TTS.
• Implement and evaluate algorithms for conversational AI.
• Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model training.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate models into production systems.
• Improve speech recognition accuracy.
• Enhance dialogue quality and agent performance.
• Build prototypes.
• Conduct model benchmarking.
• Monitor model behavior.
• Document experiments and results.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in a programming language commonly used in ML, such as Python.
• Familiarity with data processing libraries like NumPy and pandas.
• Experience or coursework in machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science and Algorithms.
• Knowledge of Pattern Recognition and Statistics.
• Understanding of Neural Networks and modern machine learning techniques, including deep learning for NLP and speech tasks.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Interest in voice assistants, conversational AI, speech analytics, and Generative AI.
• Prior project or research experience in voice assistants, conversational AI, speech analytics, and Generative AI is a plus.
