IT Helpdesk Technician (On-site)
VPI Technology, a division of Ludlum Measurements, Inc., is seeking a driven and personable IT Helpdesk Technician to support operations in Sweetwater, TX. This is an entry-level, full-time, in-person position ideal for a problem-solver eager to launch a career in IT. You will serve as the primary point of contact for the organization's technical needs, handling day-to-day support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues. The role provides comprehensive on-the-job training, allowing you to learn enterprise-level IT practices, including Active Directory, virtualization, and security environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for technical needs.
- Handle day-to-day support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Operating Systems: Familiarity with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365.
- Hardware & Peripherals: Basic knowledge of troubleshooting PCs, laptops, and office printers.
- Networking: Knowledge of IP, DNS, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
- Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Problem-Solving: A "can-do" attitude and patience when assisting others.
- Ticketing: Experience with help desk ticketing systems is a plus.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
