About the Role

Pura Vida Miami is a lifestyle brand focused on providing simple, wholesome food and beverage items with an intimate, yet fast and consistent, customer experience. We are seeking a Dishwasher to join our thriving team.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand.
• Ensure all items are cleaned and sanitized in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including floors, walls, and countertops.
• Regularly remove trash and place it in designated containers.
• Handle and maintain dishwashing equipment properly.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the Kitchen Manager.
• Replenish cleaning supplies such as dish detergent, sanitizers, and towels as needed.
• Properly sort and organize clean dishes, utensils, and equipment for kitchen efficiency.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and putting them away in appropriate storage areas.
• Show willingness and ability to cross-train across various roles in the restaurant.
• Support with any additional duties assigned.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Dexterity to operate industrial dishwashing machines, handle pots/pans, and other equipment.
• Ability to perform tasks with attention to detail.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations in a kitchen setting.
• Familiarity with the measurement system.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to bend and reach overhead often.
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a dishwasher in a restaurant or similar environment is preferred but not required.
