Web Application/Consultant Specialist

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build high-concurrency, low-latency, and resilient backend services that support business-critical customer and colleague journeys.
• Develop and maintain distributed systems architecture using event-driven and microservices-based design patterns.
• Engineer real-time event processing pipelines using Kafka to support voice, transcription, and workflow orchestration use cases.
• Implement and optimize Redis for distributed caching, session state management, and fast data access across services.
• Design effective MongoDB data models for contact, session, and configuration domains, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Build and operate cloud-native solutions on Amazon Web Services, including compute, networking, secrets management, and messaging capabilities.
• Apply strong engineering practices across Application Programming Interface design, resilience, monitoring, observability, and production support.
• Work closely with architecture, voice engineering, and cross-functional technology teams to deliver reliable platforms that can be adopted quickly and scaled confidently.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proven expertise in designing and delivering high-availability distributed systems in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong backend engineering capability in Java and Spring Boot, or equivalent technologies used to build scalable service-based platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka for streaming architectures and event-driven processing in near real-time environments.
• Strong knowledge of Redis for caching, distributed coordination, and low-latency application design.
• Solid experience with MongoDB, including document modelling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Good understanding of Amazon Web Services and cloud-native engineering principles, including secure deployment and operational scalability.
• Strong knowledge of resilience patterns, system observability, incident troubleshooting, and production engineering best practices.
• Ability to contribute quickly in a hands-on specialist role, partnering effectively with technical stakeholders and driving delivery with minimal supervision.
