About the Role

Moog's Military Aircraft Group is seeking a Manufacturing Product Finishing Operator. This role will report to the Performance Leader and involves working onsite in Torrance, CA.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform required bench and machine operations to clean, polish, break edges, form radii, blend defects, remove contamination, excess material, flash, and detect unusual defects in material or workmanship.
• Work from operation sheets, blueprints, sketches, and plastic bodies to plan the sequence of work.
• Select, sharpen, and make special tooling as required.
• Select lighting aids, inspection gages, and visual magnification to meet quality specifications.
• Visually inspect one's own work to ensure parts meet quality and quantity requirements.
• Detect abnormalities and react to them.
• Work with small parts to perform all finishing and detail work.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Fine motor skills with keen attention to detail.
• Basic computer program skills (Windows, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent visual acuteness and eye/hand coordination.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work with small parts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Alternatively, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English.
• Demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• 3 months or more of experience in deburring or finishing, in an aerospace machine shop environment preferred.
