About the EmERge Program

• An immersive emergency veterinarian training program at BluePearl Pet Hospital.
• Designed to develop skilled, confident, and proficient emergency veterinarians capable of providing life-saving care.
• A comprehensive one-year program combining hands-on training, lectures, mentoring, and real-world experience.
• Welcomes recent graduates and experienced veterinary professionals seeking a career in emergency veterinary medicine.
• Requires a one-year work commitment after training, totaling two years.

Program Structure

• Part 1: Accelerated Boot Camp and Initial Training (14 weeks)
• Weeks 1-2: Virtual asynchronous learning.
• Weeks 3-4: Immersive, in-person boot camp with the entire EmERge cohort, including hands-on labs, ER case scenarios, and practical skills.
• Weeks 5-14: Rotation at primary hospital through emergency, critical care, and other specialties.
• Part 2: Hands-on, Immersive Training (20 weeks)
• Guided by an experienced clinician mentor.
• Part 3: Experiential Training (18 weeks)
• Continued mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer life-saving care for pets in crisis.
• Participate in hands-on training, lectures, and real-world experiences.
• Rotate through various hospital specialties.
• Receive guidance and mentorship from experienced clinicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited veterinary school.
• Passed (or pending) the NAVLE.
• Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the state of interest.
• Note: This program does not replace or substitute an internship required for residency applications.

Compensation During The Program

• Weeks 1-14: $4615.38 bi-weekly ($120,000 annually).
• Weeks 15-34: $4615.38 bi-weekly ($120,000 annually).
• Weeks 35-52: Market Rate (starting from week 37 if experiential training begins).
