About the Role
This position involves planning, engineering, and designing electric and gas distribution systems. The role requires determining the need, size, location, and timing of power delivery infrastructure development while balancing economic, environmental, social, regulatory constraints, and reliability needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and design electric and gas distribution systems.
- Determine the need, size, location, and timing for power delivery infrastructure development.
- Balance economic, environmental, social, and regulatory constraints with reliability needs.
- Develop work packages for overhead and underground residential distribution.
- Conduct field engineering of project requirements.
- Identify conflicting utilities and perform engineering and design calculations.
- Conduct post-construction reviews.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Basic knowledge and application of engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
- Ability to solve simple routine technical problems using established procedures and policies.
- Effective communication skills to explain facts and basic analysis processes to peers.
Qualifications
- BS degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
- Less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
Work Environment: Collaboration with peers, focused on solving routine technical problems using established procedures and policies. Encourages development of solutions using basic principles within a technical specialty.
Job Type & Location: Contract position based out of Walled Lake, MI.
Workplace Type: Hybrid position in Walled Lake, MI.
Pay Range: $29.00 - $29.00/hr.
