About the Role

Beanstalk Studio is a young, innovative design studio specializing in kids’ room interiors and custom furniture. The team focuses on creating spaces that reflect the diverse and dynamic personalities of children and young adults. Designs are tailored to balance aesthetics, functionality, and safety, ensuring rooms grow with their users over time. Applicants can expect to work in a creative environment that values customization, detail-oriented design, and client collaboration. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and designing kids’ rooms and related furniture.
• Ensuring spaces are functional, safe, and visually engaging.
• Meeting clients to understand requirements.
• Developing design concepts.
• Preparing mood boards, layouts, and 3D visuals.
• Coordinating with vendors and contractors on materials, finishes, and installation.
• Producing detailed drawings and documentation.
• Overseeing site execution.
• Maintaining design quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Interior Design and FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) for residential or kids-focused spaces.
• Proficiency in Space Planning to create functional, safe, and age-appropriate layouts.
• Understanding of Architecture and Construction Drawings to coordinate effectively with contractors and vendors.
• Ability to work with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and presentation tools.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail, creativity, and a user-centered design approach.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for client interactions and team coordination.
• Experience with on-site supervision, material selection, and project timelines is an advantage.
