Member Service Assistant

About the Role

The Member Service Assistant actively greets members, verifies membership cards, keeps entry counts, and checks receipts upon members exiting. This role performs and documents warehouse safety and security checks and provides a high level of member service.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts hourly building safety and security checks.
• Walks the building and perimeter, pushes carts and picks up stray items or puts items away.
• Corrects safety and security problems encountered, such as spills, trip hazards, and blocked exits.
• Fills out reports and shows results to the duty manager.
• Attends warehouse safety meetings.
• Maintains the entrance area, including opening/closing store doors.
• Greets members, verifies membership cards, and offers a cart.
• Directs members.
• Keeps the coffee grinder clean and the entrance/exit area clean and dry.
• Uses a handheld clicker to keep count of entering members.
• Reports half-hours to front end managers and records counts on weekly reports.
• Ensures workers make it to their cars safely.
• Watches for members trying to enter the store and scans for general suspicious behavior.
• Watches closing managers leave and reports any suspicious activity to the duty manager.
• Calls police if necessary.
• Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Assists with department duties as necessary.
• Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.

• Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery.
• Open availability is needed to meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications

Proof of authorization to work in the United States is required if hired.
