About the Role
Amity University is seeking an Assistant Professor of Operations Management for a full-time, on-site faculty position at its Bengaluru campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Operations Management.
- Prepare and update course materials.
- Conduct lectures, tutorials, and assessments.
- Mentor and advise students, supporting their academic and professional growth.
- Engage in research and scholarly activities in Operations Management and related fields.
- Contribute to publications, conferences, and funded projects.
- Participate in curriculum development.
- Attend departmental meetings and academic committees.
- Collaborate with industry partners to enhance experiential learning and placements.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- University Teaching and Curriculum Development skills.
- Ability to design and deliver rigorous Operations Management courses.
- Research skills in Operations Management or related disciplines.
- Ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals and contribute to academic conferences.
- Knowledge of Organizational Behavior and Marketing to support integrated teaching and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Experience with case-based teaching, industry projects, and use of educational technology and learning management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within academic departments.
- Contribution to institutional initiatives and accreditation processes.
Qualifications
- PhD (or near completion) or a postgraduate degree in Operations Management, Management, or a closely related field.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage diverse learners.
- Commitment to inclusive, student-centered pedagogy.
- Prior teaching or industry experience in operations, supply chain, or related areas is an advantage.
