About the Role
Curd Rice is a strategy consulting studio in Coimbatore that helps founders of ₹1–100 Cr businesses across India, the Gulf, and Asia scale without chaos. They also build BIOS, an AI-powered business intelligence platform. The company is small, fast, and growing.
Role: Junior HR Intern
Location: On-site, R S Puram, Coimbatore
Duration: 6 months, full-time
What you will own
You will run hiring and people operations for a growing firm:
- Write and post job descriptions on LinkedIn, Naukri, Internshala, and college placement cells
- Screen resumes against a scoring rubric and shortlist candidates
- Schedule interviews, coordinate with partners, and keep every candidate informed
- Maintain the hiring tracker and employee records
- Prepare offer letters, appointment letters, and onboarding checklists
- Draft Curd Rice's first HR policies (leave, attendance, onboarding) for partner approval
- Support client projects that need people work: org charts, JDs, hiring plans
What is hard about this role
- There is no HR department. You will be the first person doing this full-time, so you will build processes, not follow them.
- Partners are busy; you will need to chase decisions politely and persistently.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Pursuing or completed MBA/PGDM (HR), MSW (HRM), or BBA/BCom with an HR elective
- Clear, error-free professional English and comfortable spoken Tamil
- Working knowledge of Google Sheets or Excel (sorting, filters, basic formulas)
- Available on-site in Coimbatore for 6 months
Good to have
- Prior HR internship, campus placement committee role, or event recruitment experience
- Experience with any job board or ATS (Naukri RMS, Zoho Recruit, LinkedIn Recruiter)
- Basic knowledge of PF, ESI or the Tamil Nadu Shops & Establishments Act
