About the Role
Saltech Design Labs is seeking a full-time, on-site Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Zak GIDC, Vahelal, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This role focuses on the design and development of dry-waste recycling machines and sorting systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Ideation, Conceptualization, Design & Development of dry-waste recycling machines & sorting systems.
- Design for manufacturing, drafting and efficient assembly of parts, components, and systems.
- Lead prototype fabrication, run functional tests, measure performance, and iterate designs.
- Define maintenance points, lubrication plans and critical spares list.
- Produce Bill of Materials, assembly drawings, maintenance manuals for manufacturing and field teams.
- Coordinate with purchase team for timely procurement of components.
- Conducting on-field market visits to verify job work.
- Develop and implement QC to ensure the manufacturing team follows engineering drawings and GD&T standards.
- Create and maintain complete engineering documentation including design drawings, installation manuals, and technical specifications.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Mechanical Engineering or related field degree.
- Expertise in Design Engineering, Machine Design, Mechanical Engineering, and Manufacturing.
- Familiarity with Product Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software as well as Computer-Aided Manufacturing software, including:
- SolidWorks
- Creo
- Mastercam
- AutoCAD
- CATIA
- Key Shot
- ANSYS
- Experience in designing and developing prototypes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Professional Fluency in English (Written/Spoken).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Experience or interest in the waste management or sustainability industries is a plus.
- Candidate who can start immediately.
- Candidate who has relevant skills and interests.
- Candidate who can provide sample or demo of their previous/current work experience.
- Candidates with proficiency in the local language or those residing in nearby states will be given preference.
Salary Range: 2,50,000 INR – 4,50,000 INR per annum (subject to experience and performance)
Work Hours: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Work Schedule: 6 working days per week
