Software Engineer

About the Role

Brikby is an AI company focused on instant property ownership verification. We process property documents to provide users with document scrutiny, title flow, missing documentation, red flags, and product-specific insights for BFSI customers. Our system verifies customer documents against government records in real-time, having reduced property verification TAT from 4 days to under 30 minutes for our BFSI clients, processing over 15,000 loan logins since January. Our vision is to become the gold standard in BFSI and then expand property ownership verification to all use cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Work directly with lenders and lawyers to identify and resolve slowdowns, then design, test, and validate fixes.
• Translate direct customer metrics into actionable insights to guide product development.
• Architect and scale the document ingestion pipeline for increased speed and reliability with growing volume.
• Troubleshoot and fix root causes of LLM output errors, implementing evaluations to maintain fixes.
• Develop our multi-agent system and associated tools for interacting with government sources.
• Ship end-to-end features in the web application, managing deployment on GCP with a focus on cost and latency.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Working knowledge of React.
• Experience with SQL.
• Experience with a cloud platform (GCP preferred).
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, including:
• Tool calling
• Structured output
• Multi-agent orchestration
• Using agent traces and evals for debugging and measurement.
• Experience building production-ready backend systems, including:
• Queues
• Retries
• Idempotency
• Logs and traces for debugging.
• A habit of measuring and instrumenting shipped features to inform decision-making.
• Experience integrating with websites and APIs not designed for programmatic access, including:
• Sessions
• Form posts
• HTML parsing
• Rate limits.

Qualifications

• 0 to 5 years of experience building and shipping software.
• Internships, freelance work, and serious side projects are considered.
