About the Role

The Construction Manpower Contractor role is an on-site position based in Chennai. The contractor is responsible for sourcing, organizing, and supervising construction labor on active project sites, ensuring that the right number of workers with appropriate skills are available as per project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinating with site engineers and supervisors.
• Assigning work to labor teams.
• Monitoring attendance and productivity.
• Ensuring compliance with safety and labor regulations.
• Managing basic documentation related to workforce deployment.
• Tracking hours worked.
• Supporting budgeting and resource planning for manpower needs.
• Addressing workforce issues and maintaining smooth site operations.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Skills in Construction and Inspection.
• Skills in Budgeting and Microsoft Office.
• Ideal exposure to Architecture or building layouts.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of local labor laws, safety practices, and compliance standards in construction.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in construction manpower management or site supervision in Chennai or similar locations is highly beneficial.
