Associate Technical Program Manager

About the Role

This is a contract role for an Associate Technical Program Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Own a defined workstream within a cross-functional program, from scoping to delivery, with a TPM as your mentor.
• Break objectives into milestones, track progress with data, and flag risks early.
• Work with engineers, EMs, product and business teams to unblock work and drive decisions to closure.
• Improve how programs run with templates, dashboards, trackers, or small automations, including AI tools you build.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Hands-on technical experience as an engineer or technical IC.
• Clear communication and structured problem solving: you can take an ambiguous situation and turn it into a clear plan.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have a strong technical foundation, enabling them to understand system design, follow engineering discussions, and ask pertinent questions.
• Open to two candidate profiles:
• Engineers with an MBA / PGDM: Possessing an engineering degree, 1–3 years of hands-on engineering or technical work, and a completed MBA or PGDM, with aspirations for a TPM career.
• Engineers switching to TPM: Prior experience as a software engineer or in a similar technical IC role, with a desire to transition into program management.
• Good to have:
• MBA/ PGDM (completed).
• Exposure to payments, fintech, or other regulated or high-availability systems.
• Prior experience coordinating a project, release or initiative across more than one team.
• Something you have built with AI, such as an agent, a script or a workflow.
