About the Role

Palantir builds software for data-driven decisions and operations. The Deployment Strategist role centers around leveraging data in operational and real-world action, turning customer hunches into reality.

What We Do

As a Deployment Strategist, you will work with a team of Engineers, Product Designers, and other Deployment Strategists to deploy software against challenging problems. Your mission is to synthesize disparate information into a cohesive understanding of the most important problem, data meaning, product needs, user motivations, and potential impact.

You will immerse yourself in customer workflows, partner with customer teams, explore data, and engage with the product landscape to enable scaling. A select number of Deployment Strategists may also be deployed to Palantir internal teams. This role requires a curious and analytical mindset, product intuition, and user empathy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Go onsite and meet with customer analysts to understand critical questions and identify pain points.
  • Identify relevant datasets through deep engagement with customer problems and workflows, and work with Forward Deployed Engineers to integrate data into a stable and extensible pipeline.
  • Work with the customer to build bespoke workflows for new user groups.
  • Lead training sessions to ensure the product meets user needs and is used widely for impact.
  • Present work results and proposals to audiences ranging from analysts to C-suite executives.
  • Embed with Software Engineering and Product Design teams to incorporate field insights into cross-Palantir product offerings.
  • Build and deliver demos to new and existing customers.
  • Scope potential engagements in new industries and expanding locations globally.

Requirements & Tech Stack

  • Active Top Secret Clearance with eligibility and willingness to obtain SCI.
  • Ability to travel 25 – 75%. Varies by location and team.
  • Experience with programming, scripting or statistical packages (e.g. Python, R, Matlab, SQL) is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Extraordinary ability to take on open-ended problems in unstructured environments.
  • Adaptive and introspective; willing to learn, teach, lead and follow.
  • Low ego; the outcome matters more than who gets credit.
  • Desire to dive into the details of the data.
