Cafeteria Cook

About the Role

Damar Services, Inc. is seeking a talented, motivated, and detail-oriented Cook to join their highly skilled team. This role is responsible for completing assigned kitchen responsibilities related to food preparation, preparing meals, loading food carts, and ensuring the kitchen and equipment are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and provide all meals for clients and staff.
• Review and accurately follow meal count information to ensure client safety.
• Assist in maintaining the kitchen and equipment in a clean and sanitary manner.
• Take pride and ownership in Damar’s facilities and assigned work areas to better clients' well-being.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Minimum age of 18 per licensure requirements.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier.
• Clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect, or other disqualifying criminal convictions.
• Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening.
• Physical ability and mobility needed to perform the job, including standing or sitting for prolonged periods, occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting; lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 50 lbs.; operating office equipment, including a computer keyboard; traveling to other locations; and communicating effectively.
• Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to client behaviors, staff instructions, safety concerns, and emergencies.
• Regular and acceptable attendance is also an essential function.

Qualifications

• Prior work in a high volume kitchen preferred, but not required.

Available Hours: Day Shift (M-F with a rotating weekend)
