Interior Designer

About the Role

Square Line Venture specializes in turnkey interiors, architecture, 3D visualization, and project management. This full-time, on-site role is based in Mumbai.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop interior design concepts, preparing layouts, and translating client requirements into functional, visually appealing spaces.
• Perform space planning to optimize functionality, circulation, and user experience.
• Select finishes and materials.
• Coordinate FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment).
• Produce construction drawings in collaboration with architecture and project management teams.
• Conduct regular site visits.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors.
• Ensure design intent is maintained during execution.
• Participate in client meetings.
• Present design proposals.
• Support project documentation and revisions.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar design and drafting software.
• Familiarity with 3D visualization tools is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Interior Design, with the ability to develop concepts, layouts, and detailed design solutions.
• Proficiency in Space Planning.
• Knowledge of Architecture principles to coordinate interior designs with structural, MEP, and overall building design requirements.
• Experience preparing accurate Construction Drawings, including detailed interior layouts, joinery drawings, and material specifications.
• Hands-on experience with FF&E selection, including furniture, fixtures, finishes, and materials.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Prior experience in an interior design or architecture firm, particularly in turnkey or design-build projects, is beneficial.
