About Planet Escapes

Planet Escapes is a travel design studio in Ahmedabad that creates custom international holidays. They build their own technology, including an in-house travel CRM built on Supabase.

The Role

This role involves working across two main product areas:

• The website (planetescapes.in): A fast, design-led React site with a trip-customisation wizard. SEO and performance are important.
• The Planet Escapes CRM: The system used by travel consultants to manage leads, itineraries, quotations, invoices, and destination/image libraries.

You will take features from idea to production, working closely with users and seeing your work implemented quickly.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain user interfaces in React and TypeScript, with responsive styling in Tailwind CSS.
• Design and manage the Supabase back end, including PostgreSQL tables, migrations, Row Level Security (RLS) rules, database functions (RPCs), and storage.
• Write server-side logic as Supabase Edge Functions (Deno/TypeScript).
• Connect third-party services (photo libraries, email, AI tools) to travel workflows.
• Translate complex travel rules (pricing, passenger counts, room setups, supplier costs) into reliable software.
• Generate polished quotation, itinerary, and invoice documents.
• Ensure the website is fast and search-friendly.
• Write tests (Vitest and Playwright), review code, and maintain high quality.
• Participate in regular releases from staging to production and in day-to-day maintenance.
• Write clear technical documentation and contribute to system improvements.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong front-end skills in React and TypeScript, with solid CSS and an eye for detail.
• Hands-on experience with Supabase (Postgres, Auth, Row Level Security, Edge Functions, Storage).
• Strong SQL/PostgreSQL skills, including schema design, migrations, and writing database functions.
• Experience building REST APIs and server-side JavaScript (Node.js or Deno).
• Ability to own features across the full stack (database to screen).
• Comfort with Git, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Good problem-solving skills, clean coding habits, and attention to detail with numbers and data.
• Clear communication.
• Willingness to work on-site in Ahmedabad.

Good to Have

• Experience with Vite, Tailwind CSS, React Query, or React Hook Form.
• Experience generating PDFs, building SEO-friendly sites, or adding animation (Motion, GSAP).
• Experience using AI APIs (e.g., Gemini, Claude) in real products.
• Knowledge of the travel industry or experience building CRM or booking systems.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
