Manager Trainee

About the Role

Hertz Local Edition (HLE) is seeking a Manager Trainee to support location performance, develop leadership skills, and prepare for promotion to Branch Manager in 12–18 months. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to learn all aspects of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales & Customer Service
• Support achievement of location sales goals.
• Deliver excellent customer experience to contribute to high customer service scores.
• Learn and apply sales techniques and CRM best practices.
• Operations & Fleet Management
• Gain hands-on experience in fleet logistics and inventory control.
• Assist with store operations and compliance.
• Vehicle and Facility Care
• Support the team with miscellaneous tasks including, but not limited to, cleaning and preparing vehicles, lot management, and customer service assistance.
• Finance & Administration
• Learn finance processes and support deal completion.
• Understand reporting, documentation, and business metrics.
• Leadership Development
• Shadow and support management in daily operations.
• Build skills in team leadership, scheduling, and performance coaching.
• Prepare for future leadership roles through structured training.
• Learn how the role contributes to/impacts the overall financial wellbeing of the company.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Must be 20 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong computer and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to grow.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Presentable attire.
• Experience working in a professional environment.

What You’ll Get

• Hourly rate/wage: $23.00
• Overtime Pay: Eligible
• Holiday Pay: Eligible (1.5 x regular pay rate)
• Sick Pay: Up to 40 hours
• Paid Time Off / Vacation: Accruals start at .83 Days a Month
