Robotics Educator

About the Role

EkaLavya is an Ed-Tech startup providing learning outcomes focused curriculum and software solutions to private schools. We are expanding and seeking passionate educators for our Robotics, Coding, and project-based learning programs for students from Grade I to Grade IX. You will act as a mentor, not a traditional teacher, guiding students to:

• Build and program robots
• Solve real-world problems through projects
• Think like engineers and innovators
• Develop creativity, teamwork, and presentation skills
• Participate in inter-school Robotics Innovation Challenges

Your responsibilities include delivering the Robotics curriculum, conducting lab sessions, mentoring projects, assessing learning outcomes, and improving the program based on feedback.

Selection and Certification Journey

Our structured process prioritizes student learning outcomes and assesses a combination of technical understanding, classroom delivery skills, activity management, and student engagement.

• Interview and Practical Assessment: Successful candidates receive a conditional offer.
• Robotics Faculty Induction and Certification: A 3-7 day hybrid program covering:
• EkaLavya teaching philosophy and pedagogy
• Robotics curriculum orientation
• Grade-wise learning journey
• Robotics kit handling
• Project execution
• Lab activities
• Classroom management
• Student engagement techniques
• Practice teaching sessions
• Classroom Readiness and Final Appointment: Confirmation based on:
• Technical capability
• Teaching demonstration
• Student-centric classroom approach
• Feedback from internal mentors and school stakeholders
• Performance during live classroom sessions

We do not permanently deploy faculty without observing classroom readiness. Educators receive continuous support, mentoring, and training. Performance is reviewed during the initial 1-6 month period through multiple feedback loops.

• Fresh graduates passionate about STEM education and willing to undergo intensive training.
• Experienced Robotics Trainers, STEM Educators, Makerspace Facilitators.
• FRESHERS ARE WELCOME: Final-year students, recent graduates, robotics enthusiasts, makers, tinkerers, and DIY innovators willing to learn, build, experiment, and inspire.
• Professionals exploring a career transition into education.

• Individuals with maturity, life experience, and the ability to create a positive classroom culture.

A traditional teaching background is not required. We value curiosity, patience, empathy, and a willingness to learn continuously.

Compensation and Appointment Approach

• Stage 1: Learning, Certification and Classroom Readiness Phase

• Conditional offer post interview and practical assessment.

• Undergo robotics faculty induction, pedagogy and classroom training, curriculum orientation, practical project training, and certification.

• Compensation during this phase: ₹1.8 lakh fixed annual component and ₹2,000-₹5,000 monthly performance-linked incentive.

• Accommodation will be taken care of.

• Daily allowance of Rs.300 per day on teaching days.

• Stage 2: Appointment as Independent Robotics Educator

• Official appointment letter upon successful completion of certification and demonstration of readiness in live classroom sessions, showing:

• Technical competency

• Student-centric teaching approach

• Classroom management ability

• Alignment with EkaLavya values and culture

• Positive feedback from internal mentors and school stakeholders

• Revised CTC at appointment stage: ₹3-4 lakh per annum, dependent on experience, training performance, demonstrated capability, and stakeholder feedback.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Preferred: Diploma in Robotics, Electronics, Computer Science, AI, IoT, Automation or related fields.
