Phlebotomist

Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and skin punctures to obtain blood samples as per prescribed procedures.
• Ensure proper patient identification and labeling of collected specimens.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all specimens collected and procedures performed.
• Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Provide emergency support and assistance during medical situations as required.
• Prepare and maintain equipment and work area in a clean and organized manner.
• Communicate effectively with patients to alleviate any concerns or discomfort during procedures.
• Ensure timely transportation of specimens to the laboratory for analysis.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient workflow and patient care.
