Key Responsibilities
- Serve in the role of primary care provider to long and short-term residents.
- Assess patient health by visiting patients, performing physical examinations, and obtaining/updating/studying medical histories.
- Provide team-based care, collaborating with the medical attending/physician and nursing home staff.
- Build relationships with residents and families, educating and formulating evidence-based care plans.
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, and professional networks.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Ensure standards align with organizational core values: respectful, professional, and cognizant of cultural, personal, and religious beliefs.
- Review and ensure charting, documenting, and administration of care are up-to-date and performed in a timely and efficient manner.
