About the Role

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you will thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. You will ensure a quick and easy customer experience and maintain store cleanliness. Flexibility is key, as you may occasionally work in different areas of the store.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales and Customer Service:

• Ensure the salesfloor stays "runway ready" through re-merchandising and straightening.

• Assist customers with a variety of transactions, including operating a point-of-sale system, bagging items of all sizes, handling bulky items, and ensuring a seamless and friendly experience.

• Create a clean and clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor.

• Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting customers, assisting them, and sorting clothing.

• Adhere to all operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.

• Promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program.

• Demonstrate expertise in all store technologies.

• Stock Support and Fulfillment:

• Receive, unload freight, unpack, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.

• Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards.

• Prepare and ship customer orders following quality, packing, and shipping standards.

• Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.

• Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.

• Provide general support to the store, including set up of special events, organizing backrooms, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.

• Shifts may start at 3:30 am.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.

Physical Requirements

• Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift.
• Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting them above the head.
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.

Pay Range

$18.85 - $19.65 Hourly
