About the Role

Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center is seeking a motivated individual to prepare, compound, and dispense medical prescriptions under the supervision of the Medical Director. This role may involve clerical duties and assisting at other sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare prescription orders accurately and efficiently, verifying prescription information and dosage.
• Provide quality customer service to patients and other healthcare providers.
• Maintain inventory and ensure a safe and clean dispensary.
• Maintain records by recording and filing physician’s orders and prescriptions.
• Receive and store incoming supplies.
• Verify stock and enter data in a computer to maintain inventory records.
• Maintain sterile compounding area according to standards and LSBME regulations.
• Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing goals, seeking development opportunities, and promoting a positive environment.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Certified Technician Certification program
• Licensed by the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy
• Clinic Pharmacy Experience
• QS1 pharmacy management experience
