Retail Sales Associate

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain stores within your district, including customer service and property maintenance.

Customer Service

• Develop customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing appropriate solutions.
• Deliver a standout customer experience.
• Interact face-to-face with customers, providing excellent service and building rapport.
• Meet monthly sales goals and metrics.
• Walk the property to perform daily operational tasks including lock checks and showing units to customers.
• Work independently and on a team to:
• Rent self-storage units.
• Sell store merchandise.
• Manage the leasing process.
• Accept payments utilizing the Point-of-Sale System (POS).
• Complete daily bank deposits.
• Make courtesy calls to customers regarding late payments.

Property Maintenance

• Perform daily walks of the property.
• Clean units and store grounds.
• Open and close storage doors (up to 50 lbs.).
• Maintain facility, including:
• Mopping
• Sweeping
• Changing light bulbs
• Cleaning out storage units
• Keep a clean and safe storage facility, ensuring conditions meet company guidelines (e.g., clean restrooms, neat landscaping and parking areas, clean and tidy storage doors, neat decluttered office space).

Qualifications

• A positive and outgoing personality with a passion for helping people.
• Experience in delivering high-quality customer service to a diverse customer market.
• A self-driven mindset with a strong operational focus.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office products.
• Ability to work Saturdays.
• Access to a personal vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and up-to-date insurance.
• Physical requirements:
• Frequently required to stand, sit, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, climb, or balance on a ladder.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future sponsorship.
• Some locations may require Sunday hours.
