Technical Engineer Tooling

About the Role

The Technical Engineer Tooling role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata. This role involves providing technical support for cutting tools and machining applications, including tool selection, process optimization, and troubleshooting at customer locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings.
• Recommend suitable tooling solutions.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address client requirements.
• Conduct product demonstrations.
• Train customer teams on proper tooling usage.
• Prepare technical reports.
• Maintain documentation for application trials and performance improvements.
• Coordinate with principals and internal stakeholders to ensure timely solutions and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong knowledge of cutting tools, machining processes, and tool application engineering.
• Skills in interpreting technical drawings, process planning, and production engineering.
• Abilities in customer interaction, technical communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Basic proficiency with MS Office tools and documentation for reporting and analysis.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
• Experience in CNC machining, metal cutting, or industrial tooling support will be an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, willingness to work on-site at customer locations, and readiness for field visits are beneficial.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain a customer-focused approach is essential.
