Junior ML Engineer

About the Role

Greywiz is hiring a Junior Machine Learning Engineer for its Dataraft product team. Dataraft is an AI/ML-powered data analytics platform for manufacturing companies, offering operational insights, improved forecasting, and enhanced process efficiencies.

This is a full-time, onsite role at the Basavanagudi office in South-Central Bangalore. Candidates must be located nearby or willing to relocate.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain machine learning pipelines using scikit-learn.
• Clean and analyze structured and semi-structured data using Pandas, DuckDB, and MongoDB.
• Design and maintain REST APIs using Python FastAPI.
• Build frontend components using Svelte.js (React.js experience also considered).
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to develop end-to-end features.
• Document code and follow best practices for versioning and testing.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong programming experience in Python.
• Proficiency in Pandas, scikit-learn, and basic ML algorithms.
• Familiarity with FastAPI or similar Python-based web frameworks.
• Understanding of MongoDB, DuckDB, and SQL-based data querying.
• Frontend development experience in Svelte.js or React.js.
• Internship experience (minimum 1 completed internship) in a relevant ML/data/backend/frontend project is mandatory.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to Neural Networks (PyTorch or TensorFlow).
• Background in statistics or data science methodologies.
• Knowledge of MLOps tools, basic DevOps, or cloud platforms.
• Prior work with industrial/manufacturing datasets.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech or M.Sc in Computer Science.
• Specialization courses in Statistics / Data Science / Applied Mathematics (valuable, not mandatory).

Important Notes

• Onsite Only at Basavanagudi, South-Central Bangalore.
• No remote or hybrid work options available.
• Candidates must be willing and able to work from the Basavanagudi office Monday to Friday.
