About the Role
The role involves analytics for commodity procurement. The primary focus will be analysis of commodity price, trends, stock availability, shipment planning, stocks in transshipment port, and shipments incurring demurrage for Olam Agri.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive analysis of price, costs and assist the trader with analysis of commodity price, trends, stock availability, shipment planning, stocks in transshipment port, shipments incurring demurrage, freight rate analysis, and supplier performance.
- Data collation & collection, assimilation, crunching, segmenting, and driving analytics to help business in taking informed decisions.
- Collaborate across functions to obtain data from various sources (System (ERP, SharePoint, etc.), Financial, Carriers, suppliers) and a variety of stakeholders, and produce it as per stakeholder requirements.
- Prepare reports / dashboards as required by the project / process and share this with the stakeholder within the stipulated time.
- Review the collated data, identify & analyze it to obtain the desired result.
- Discuss, clearly articulate requirements to stakeholders (through written emails, TEAMS calls, etc.) and obtain the desired data.
- Educate and ensure stakeholders in the manner of collating, maintaining, and entering data into relevant systems.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Communication skills
- Analytical skills
- Good with managing large data sets with numbers.
- Accustomed to cross-linking data sets extracted from various ERPs, reports, shared files, and similar systems & finally representing it.
- Proficient with Excel.
- Power BI knowledge and usage is a plus.
- Prepare reports through PPT and other MS Office suite products.
- Knowledge of Power BI would be an advantage.
