Job Summary

We are looking for a Safety Officer who will ensure all work at the site adheres to safety rules, company policy, and legal requirements. The role involves regular site inspections, worker training, and reporting of unsafe acts or conditions to prevent accidents.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect the site daily and identify unsafe acts and conditions.
• Ensure workers wear proper PPE (helmet, safety shoes, harness, gloves, goggles).
• Conduct toolbox talks and basic safety induction for new workers.
• Check work at height, scaffolding, ladders, electrical, and hot work for safety.
• Issue and verify work permits (hot work, work at height, confined space, electrical).
• Report and investigate incidents, near misses, and injuries, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain records such as checklists, inspection reports, training records, and incident registers.
• Check fire extinguishers, first aid boxes, and emergency exits regularly.
• Ensure contractors and subcontractors adhere to safety rules.
• Support audits and provide daily and weekly safety reports to management.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic knowledge of safety rules, PPE, fire safety, and first aid.
• Knowledge of site safety and construction or MEP/HVAC work is a plus.
• Good communication in Hindi, and Gujarati or English preferred.
• Able to explain safety rules to workers in simple language.
• Basic MS Word and Excel for reports.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any stream.
• Diploma in Industrial Safety or Safety Management (PDIS), or Bachelor’s degree in Fire & Safety.
• Certificates such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or OSHA are an added advantage.
• Freshers with a safety diploma or certification can apply.
