About the Role
This role is an internship opportunity at Wiss.
Key Responsibilities
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using standard software development methodologies.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues.
- Perform Unit and Integration testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Continuously learn new technologies and best practices.
- Assist with exploring/testing AI-powered tools and workflows (automation scripts, AI-assisted coding tools, intelligent document processing) alongside Wiss Labs.
- Support prototyping of simple AI/automation use cases under guidance from senior engineers.
- Attend team meetings and participate in Agile development practices.
- Establish continuous integration/continuous development (CI/CD) pipeline for deployment automation.
- Provide user training or overview on implemented features.
- Monitor production environments and provide production support.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and languages as required.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Experience with minimum one programming language and/or development platforms such as HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and/or CSS.
- Understanding of software development methodologies.
- Understanding of basic principles of Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs).
- Understanding of Web Pages and how to interact with the Document Object Model (DOM).
- Understanding of databases and basic SQL queries.
- Curiosity about or exposure to AI tools is a plus, though not required.
